A historic church. Open to all.
Still Advancing Faith.
From our earliest days to our witness in High Point today — Hallelujah Baptist Church is a praying, preaching, serving community.

Rooted in Christ. Rising in High Point.
Hallelujah Baptist Church was built by believers who wanted a house where the Word is preached plainly, the doors stay open, and every neighbor is welcome. That witness continues today in High Point, North Carolina — a people built on prayer, sustained by grace, and moving on up.

Pastor George Steele
Pastor George Steele leads Hallelujah Baptist Church with a shepherd's heart and a preacher's voice. He walks with the congregation through every season — celebrating new births, comforting the grieving, equipping leaders, and proclaiming the unchanging Word in a changing world.
His ministry joins sound biblical teaching with practical service in High Point: youth and family discipleship, care for seniors, and partnership with neighbors in need. Every Sunday at 10:30 AM is an invitation: come up higher.
"We don't preach a small gospel for small people. We preach the whole counsel of God for a people God calls great."
